Christmas projects don't always come out the way you expect!
Today is December 16th. I finally got most of my Christmas cards mailed. I send homemade cards with my "Christmas Letter" to some of my aunts, uncles and cousins that I don't see real often. I have been doing this for almost 10 years now. You would think it would get easier, but it doesn't! The formatting of the document is the most difficult. But...it is also a fun thing.

Since part of Christmas with children is about "fun", I always try to find something to do with the girls. Today they got out of school early, so I decided that we would make "Rudolph Cookies". I found the recipe in a magazine and couldn't wait to try it.

It started out pretty good...but you put the M&M's, mini-chocolate chips AND broken pretzels on AFTER the cookie is baked, but while it is still hot. You can see that the cookie Ashlyn is working on started falling apart the minute we started to poke the pretzels into it.

Samantha had a solution for destroying the evidence!

You can see our effort, and the picture in the magazine. Oh well....we really did have fun, and that is what it is all about!

Shhhh....don't anyone tell Heather, but I am putting these two pictures on a little gift for her.

I'm almost done with my Christmas shopping. I even have some of it wrapped! I will be helping at Emmie's preschool class on Friday as they do a little "craft" and then she will be out for Christmas holiday. I will bring her back here and have promised her that Ashlyn and Samantha will come play. They are out early for the rest of this week and then do not go back to school until January 3rd or 4th. I look forward to some more Christmas fun with the grandgirls over the next week.
