Happy Fathers' Day

This was the best part of our day!

I prepared baked beans, pasta salad, sweet corn, french bread, iced tea, and Mississippi Mud for dessert as well as a fruit tray and dip for appetizer. Ron fixed beef and pork ribs on the grill and we invited both kids over with their families.

This begins a new week! Last week we made great progress on the closet wall redo.

Here is a picture of the wall prior to us moving in.
And below you will see the same view as it looked today. Note that there is still some "cutting in" to do. There is need of baseboards and also door facing on the new closet. We also need to put the crown molding back up in a few places and replace the door facing on the opening to the d.r. (to the right of the picture). But....I am THRILLED with the result and am anxious to get this far on the guest room closet wall (behind the wall you are looking at).
Hope you all had as pleasant a day as we had. Part of my pleasure was sitting in this living room with my family and having it to this point! Hooray!!!!!!!!

The grin on Emmie's face!! That alone was worth the trip to your blog....but then, all of you look like you're having a wonderful Father's Day. Glad you all had a good day - and good to see your progress!

Love,
Anna
